Young People’s Art Competition Winners Maldon Library, Carmelite House, White Horse Lane, Saturday 9am-5pm; Monday, Tuesday, Come to see the prize-winning work from our art competition, Sculpture Trail Museum of Power, Hatfield Road, Langford, CM9 6QA Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd, then Wednesday 5th to Saturday 8th October, 10am to 4pm every day The sculpture trail has moved to this fascinating museum. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Moot Hall, Maldon High Street 10am to 4pm Saturday 1st then Monday 3rd to When you visit the Mad Hatter, it’s always time for tea… Friday 7th October “Tribal Art of India”: A Talk by Vasant Chinchwadkar 6.30pm, Goat Lodge Farm, Goat Lodge Road, An inspirational one-hour talk by these two talented artists. Saturday 8th October Young People’s Art & Craft Workshops 10am-4pm, Maldon Town Hall, Market Hill These fantastic, FREE, workshops are back for their fourth year!

Featuring handmade ceramics by potters Pam Schomberg and
Butts Green Pottery's Suzanne Rampton; the wacky sculptural
figures of artist Michael Barter – plus ceramic contributions
by local schools. Entry free.

John will talk about indigenous bronze casting, while Vasant
will discuss deities, laws and the practices regarding painting
and crafts. Followed by Indian nibbles and the chance to view
some of John and Vasant’s work. Free, though charitable
donations gratefully received on the night, and booking is essential:
please add your name to the list at Tourist Information Centre in
Wenlock Way (01621 856503). An exhibition of Vasant’s work
will also be on display at Goat Lodge Farm throughout the
Art Trail – 10am to 4pm Saturday 1st to Saturday 8th October.
No booking required – just drop in. Please note that children
under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
